A little about me, the teacher behind this page - I am entering my 8th year of teaching at Clearview High School. I love teaching here; we have a strong community and our students are so incredibly encouraging to one another, accepting, and diverse.
My philosophy is that life is all about learning and exploring new experiences. Curiosity is a great trait to cultivate! I focus heavily on showing students how to consider various perspectives and how to communicate in an organized way in both writing and speaking. We all have something to learn from each other and can offer unique forms of expression to each other.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, etc. Basically anything active and outdoors! After awhile, students automatically start asking me what adventures I got into over the weekend and I usually have a few stories to tell.
I try to read a little bit of everything, but my favorites are books about social psychology or mystery thrillers. Let me know if you want suggestions!
